My Family’s New Summer Tradition – The Great Allentown Fair

The slogan “The Great Allentown Fair, Don’t Leave Summer Without It” has never rung more true than these past two years. With my two daughters now 13 and 10, we have taken advantage of the Grandstand concerts the past two Labor Day weekends to also visit the fair and festival portion of the fair. Dutch Springs – A different kind of business

Stu Schooley was featured in the Morning Call “Outlook” section this Sunday as he continues to remake a “cement quarry” into one of the area’s most unique tourist attractions. Promoting the Lehigh Valley and Dutch Springs for over 28 years to SCUBA divers along the eastern seaboard, was not enough, Stu realized he needed to provide fun for the families and friends of the divers, so he created a Aqua Park. Allentown Art Museum

This past Saturday I attended the opening of the new exhibit at the Allentown Art Museum. What a night, the turnout was astonishing and the event first class. I was excited to see such support for a top attraction in our region. I even had a chance to visit the new restaurant in the PPL plaza, Johnny Mananas.

Just found this great blog Allentown good news has more local information on JM and what’s happening in Allentown. JM’s should do well, nice design and great location, hopefully they can get some well lit signage, so people know it is there. Continue reading
